Ray Bradbury received a special citation for his lifetime achievement as an outstanding science fiction and fantasy author. Mr. Bradbury was unable to attend the award presentation in May, so his award was presented to him just days after his 87th birthday at Mystery and Imagination bookstore in Glendale last Saturday (Aug. 25th).
Fellow author and personal friend, William F. Nolan, presented the award to Mr. Bradbury. Also in attendance were George Clayton Johnson, Dennis Etchison, and John Tomerlin.
